If you need a bounce put back in your step after carnival weekend, let duo Isle&Fever do so with new single ‘Far Away’. Packed with vintage disco sounds, the LA pair of Donald Eley and Tiger Smith brewed up their concoction of funk in an Echo Park basement after dipping out of various existing musical projects, including but not limited to; Gangplans, The Sea of Cortez and Blacks&. Finding the perfect balance between bass and synthesisers, the reason it all sounds so authentic is because it was all created on 70's gear. Isle&Fever's debut EP is due out soon via Stratford Court but until then, we’ll have to do with ‘Far Away’ on repeat. - SJ
